Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain the cloud-based waste auditing and analytics platform to collect, store, and visualize food waste data
- Create intuitive and user-friendly dashboards that provide real-time insights into waste trends, item popularity, and cost-saving opportunities
- Develop robust APIs to seamlessly integrate the waste tracking system with university dining halls' existing inventory management, recipe management, and
point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Ensure the platform is highly scalable, secure, and easy to deploy across multiple dining locations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, UX/UI
design, and data science, to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and deliver high-quality software solutions
- Implement best practices for coding, testing, and deployment to ensure the platform's reliability, performance, and maintainability
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends, and propose new
ideas to continuously improve the platform's functionality and user experience
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues as needed to ensure smooth operation of the platform
